Biography
Sergei Morkovin, as Auriga’s Executive Secretary, reports directly to the President, and is responsible for coordination of the Executive Committee operations. As VP, Resources, he oversees provision of all necessary resources, including HR, and maintenance of infrastructure required for delivering the services to Auriga’s clients. Sergei oversees Auriga's IT Administration, Administration & Facilities and HR Departments. With over 21 years of industry experience, Sergei has played a significant role in evolving Auriga, into a dynamic and innovating business with a staff of over 300 top-notch IT professionals and a proven track record for providing information technology offshore outsourcing services. Since the company’s inception, Sergei has contributed to elaborating a successful corporate strategy, augmenting the engineering and managerial staff, improving productivity, and fostering effective outsourcing relationships with overseas customers. In 1990-1999, Sergei was in charge of the company's network and system integration division which engaged in a variety of medium to large-scale projects focused primarily on introducing leading-edge technology solutions that the company provided for their clients throughout Russia and the CIS countries. Prior to joining Auriga, Sergei Morkovin, Ph.D., was a leading scientist and head of the Research Laboratory at Moscow State University. In 1985, as one of the developers and managing directors, Sergei took part in building a local heterogeneous computer network for Moscow State University—a project unparalleled in the Soviet Union. Sergei is a graduate of the Department of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of Moscow State University. He has over 25 publications in Computer Science.
