Biography
Richard Sobel is a recognized specialist in the field of direct investment. Mr. Sobel was at the forefront of creating in Russia a private equity institute, managing in the 1990s and early 2000s investment funds for Baring Asset Management and Alfa Capital Partners. He founded and heads Altai Advisors, which specializes in investment in promising assets in Russia, CIS countries, Eastern Europe and the United States. He previously worked as a consultant at Bain & Company (Boston, USA), as well as an investment manager at Batterymarch Financial Management, EBRD and CIBC Oppenheimer. Graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Business School, USA.
