Galina Savelyeva

Biography

 G.M. Savelieva, being a highly qualified clinician, a famous scientist in our country and abroad, a brilliant teacher, created the leading school of obstetricians and gynecologists. She prepared 139 candidates and 39 doctors of medical sciences. Scientific works of G.M. Savelieva differ innovation and are dedicated to the current issues of obstetrics, gynecology and perinatology. In the field of perinatology, based on her fundamental research on the study of fetal and newborn physiology, methods of resuscitation and intensive care of children have been developed and widely implemented. G.M. Savelyeva is one of the first in the world to show the advisability of including craniocerebral hypothermia in a complex of treatment for children born in asphyxia. The obtained data formed the basis for the order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation for primary resuscitation of those born in asphyxia.
