Makhachev Osman Abdulmalikovich

Biography

Osman A. Makhachev received MD diploma from Dagestan State Medical School at Makhachkala, Republic of Dagestan, Russian Federation and both PhD and Dsc diplomas from Bakoulev Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery, Moscow, Russia. After completion the residency in cardiovascular surgery at Bakoulev Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery, he used to work at that institution as a cardiovascular surgeon and scientist at the Department of Congenital Heart Defects and then as a head of Laboratory for Clinical Development and Treatment Optimization in Cardiovascular Surgery. Since 2013, Osman Makhachev is a Director of Dagestan Center for Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery, Makhachkala, Republic of Dagestan, Russian Federation. The area of Osman Makhachev’s scientific interests is normal and pathological anatomy of the heart, with a special emphasis to rare congenital heart defects. He is an author of more than 500 scientific publications, including books and book chapters.
