Biography
After graduating from the Second Moscow Medical Institute, he commenced his endoscopy residency at the Department of Surgical Diseases of the Second Medical Faculty at the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow Medical Academy. He then continued his education and career as a bronchologist at the same educational institution, based at the State Clinical Hospital No. 61. In 1988, he defended his Masters thesis. From 1988 to 2008, he worked as an endoscopist at the State Clinical Hospital No. 61. In 2008, he became the Head of the Department of Endoscopy. He is familiar with the main endoscopic techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (esophagogastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy, retrograde cholangiopancreatography) and the tracheobronchial tree (diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy).
