Biography
n 1976, Dr.Krivoshapkin graduated with honors from Novosibirsk State Medical University (NSMU). In 1993, he completed training in a private neurosurgery clinic of Tulsa (USA). In 1994, he completed training in ultrasound methods in the research of cerebral blood flow in Münster (Germany). From 1995 to 1997, he worked as a senior resident physician and neurosurgeon at the Department of Neurosciences, Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham (England). In February 1997, Dr.Krivoshapkin completed a further education course in neurological surgery at Royal London Hospital. On September 1-2, 1997, Alexey Krivoshapkin passed an intercollegiate examination in Neurosurgery (highest level exam) in Birmingham and was recognized as a neurosurgeon by four Royal Colleges of the United Kingdom. He was registered in the List of Registered Medical Practitioners by the General Medical Council in the UK. In 1998, he was elected a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Research Interest
neurosurgical care for children with neuro-oncological diseases and with complex congenital cerebral vascular pathologies.
