Monod Pierre

Biography

In 1992 joined the surgical team of the «Clinique Belledonne» in Grenoble (France) where performed operations of prostatic and kidney cancer, female pelvic floor diseases, and male infertility.  In 1994 was a co-founder of the groupe Andros – a group of andrologists aimed dealing with improvement of male infertility treatment. Together with French gynecologist Francois Muet created a team called “Reconstruction du Plancher Pelvien Deffaillant”, that deals with improvement of the laparoscopic treatment of the female pelvic floor diseases. Joined the regional network «reseau de l’arc alpin» leaded by Professor Bolla. From 1999 is working together with pioneers of laparoscopic urology Dr.Gaston and Dr.Piechaud (Bordeaux, France). From 2006 organizes certified work sessions in laparoscopy (prostatectomy and promontofixation) called «campagnonnage en laparoscopie urologique» in order to exchange experiences with younger colleagues.   MEMBERSHIP   Member of the Association Francaise d’Urologie (AFU).  As the privilege to perform laparoscopic surgeries with Da Vinci robotic system, from 2007 is certified trainer for Da Vinci robotic system.  

Research Interest

  Promontofixation and radical prostatovesculectomy by laparoscopic surgical procedure and with Da Vinci robotic manipulation.
