Dmitry Popov

Biography

Dmitry Popov is a founder of Maxwell Biotech and its managing company Maxwell Asset Management. He brings over 25 years of experience as a physician and over 15 years as an investor. Dmitry received his MD from the Moscow State Medical and Dental University in 1988 and subseqently did research in the area of plastic oral surgery. Dr. Popov was one of the pioneers of private medical business in Russia. In 1991 he founded a private medical center, one of the first of its kind in the Russian Federation.  In 2001 Dmitry receved an MBA from the State University – Higher School of Economics in Moscow. Shortly after co-founded the financial holding Maxwell Capital Group that became one of the premiere financial institutions in the country and won multiple national awards.
