Biography

Alexey Barantsev leads the engineering and construction business of RUSAL from the end of May 2012. He is responsible for improving the efficiency of management of repair activities at the Company's plants, managing construction projects, upgrading and introducing new technologies. In 2008-2011 Alexey Barantsev was the general director of the companies of JSC Glavstroy Management and OOO PSK Transstroy. In 2008, he held the post of first deputy general director for the production of JSC Russian Machines. In July 2007, he was the Director for Development of Operations - the first Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of OOO GAZ UK. In January 2007, he was appointed Director of the Division "Avtokomponenty" - Director for Production and Restructuring of the GAZ Group, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of LLC "MC" Group GAZ ". In mid-2006, he was transferred to the position of First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board - the head of the Nizhny Novgorod block of LLC "MC" RusPromAuto ", which was later renamed into OOO" MC "GAZ". From October 2005, he worked in OOO UK RusPromAvto as Deputy General Director - Executive Director. In July 2002, he got a job at OAO GAZ as Deputy General Director, a month later transferred to the post of General Director of the plant. In February 2002 he was appointed Deputy General Director for New Construction of OAO Russian Aluminum Management. In July 2000, he was appointed General Director of the Bratsk Aluminum Smelter. In August 1998 he settled on the Krasnoyarsk Aluminum Plant as an executive director. A month later he was appointed general director of the plant. In February 1992 I went to work for the Bratsk Aluminum Plant as Deputy Head of the Logistics Department. Then he became Deputy Chief for MTS in the Office of Production and Technological Equipment of the same plant. In 1994 he was transferred to the position of the chief of electrolysis shop No. 2. In February 1996, he was appointed to the post of technical director of the Bratsk Aluminum Plant. Alexei Barantsev graduated from the Irkutsk Polytechnic Institute in 1985.
