Biography
Ulrike Herbrand, PhD, is a scientific supervisor for Research & Development at Charles River’s Biopharmaceutical Site in Erkrath, Germany. She is an expert in mechanism of action-reflecting bioassays for protein therapeutics, specifically monoclonal antibodies. Ulrike has a PhD in biological sciences from the Max-Planck-Institute for Molecular Physiology in Dortmund (Germany), where she worked on pathways involved in cancer metastasis. Prior to Charles River, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow in cancer biology at two medical research centers. Her news articles have appeared in GEN and BioProcessing Journal, and her recent co-authored peer-reviewed studies in BMC Cancer and Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
