Biography
Head of the department of phaco surgery and intraocular correction of the Institute of Eye Diseases of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, chief researcher, doctor of medical sciences. Chief Physician of the Scientific and Practical Center for Restoration of Vision. Member of the Moscow and Russian Society of Ophthalmologists, Member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He is a member of the Academic Council of the Institute of Eye Diseases of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, and also a member of the editorial board of the Russian edition of the international journal for ophthalmologists "EyeWorld". The author of more than 80 publications, inventions and rationalization proposals. Repeatedly participated and spoke at scientific and practical conferences and international symposia in Russia and abroad. The main directions of scientific activity include the search and development of new technological solutions in the course of ultrasonic and laser phacoemulsification of cataracts in cases of combined ophthalmopathology (glaucoma, lens lens ligament defects, high degree of myopia, retinal dystrophy, corneal dystrophy, conditions after various eye operations), and with concomitant common diseases (IHD, hypertension, atherosclerosis, diabetes mellitus, etc.).
