Biography
Education Alexander Bespalov graduated from Zhdanov Leningrad State University majoring in Chemistry, and from Leningrad Higher Party School majoring in Political Science. Active State Advisor of the Russian Federation, Class I. Professional experience 1993 Executive Secretary of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly Council in St. Petersburg. 1993–1996 Deputy Head of the Secretariat – Head of the Deputies Relations Division, afterwards – Head of the Public Relations Directorate, St. Petersburg Mayor’s Office. 1996–2006 Chief Advisor to Chairman of the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly. 2000 Acting Plenipotentiary Envoy of the Russian Federation President to St. Petersburg. 2000–2002 Deputy Plenipotentiary Envoy of the Russian Federation President to the Central Federal Okrug responsible for the city of Moscow and the Moscow Oblast. 2002–2003 Member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. Alexander Bespalov was Member of the Committee on Federal Affairs and Regional Policies and Member of the Commission for the Federation Council Performance Maintenance Monitoring. 2003–2014 Head of the Information and Communications Department of Gazprom. Since 2015 Department Head 106, Gazprom.
