Mr. Serguei Edrenkine

Biography

Serguei Edrenkine has held the position of General Director of Gazprom Marketing & Trading Singapore (GM&TS) since December 2010. With a degree in Engineering from the Moscow Institution of Physics and Engineering and a degree in Economics of Foreign Trade from the USSR Foreign Trade Academy, Serguei has expertise both as an engineer and economist. He assumed, very early in his career, positions of responsibility in Electronorgtechnica, a trading company under the Ministry of Foreign Trade. He was first deputy director in Moscow before moving to its Paris office as director in 1989. He continued his career in Paris with an eight-year stint as commercial director of SOFRACI – a French-Russian company jointly owned by Greficomex and Sovfintrade (now Gazprombank) from 1996. Serguei then joined Gazprom Export’s Paris office as Chief Examiner in 2004 before eventually taking on the position of Administrative Director in 2006. Serguei moved to Singapore in 2010 to assume the role of General Director of Gazprom Marketing & Trading Singapore. As General Director, Serguei oversees the functional departments of the company. He is responsible for the management of global business activities based in Singapore through GM&TS’ relationship with its parent company, OAO Gazprom, and leads the organisational back office structure that is tied to its UK headquarters’ global functional activities.
