Biography
He has completed my masters thesis on the study of Human Ras gene and cyclin-dependent proteins in leukaemia patients and have found very interesting results. There are, in fact, many questions that are still not answered and one of the questions relates to apoptosis or the programmed cell death. The enzyme cytochrome C oxidase plays a pivotal role in the intrinsic pathway of cell death yet it also help sustain cellular life by playing a crucial role in electron transport chain in the mitochondria of cells. How it is possible for the same enzyme to play two opposite yet very important roles in a cell.
