Biography
Yulia Germanovna Chupina was born on November 11, 1970 in Moscow. She graduated from Maurice Thorez Moscow State Linguistic University with honors in 1993. She completed the MBA program at ESADE with further specialization in Finance and International Management at New York University Stern School of Business. From 2010 – 2013, studied various aspects of leadership development, organizational culture and coaching at the INSEAD Business School, Harvard University and C. Naranjo School of Gestalt therapy. She started her career in Investment bank CS First Boston, then in 1998-2003, worked in McKinsey & Company in Russia and Spain specializing in Finance and Insurance industries. In 2004 she became a Head of Strategy and Corporate Development Department at JSC VTB Bank, in 2006 she was appointed Deputy President and Chairman of the Management Board of JSC VTB Bank (she was responsible for strategy, international block, HR, M&A, oversaw VTB24, VTB Capital, non-banking financial companies, Bank of Moscow). Since September 2014 – Adviser to CEO, Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank (oversaw the project for corporate culture development in Bank). In April 2015 she was appointed Senior Vice-President in Sberbank (responsible for strategy and development, project activity and corporate culture). Since July 2016 she has been the member of the Executive Board, the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank, she supervises the work of Strategy and Development and HR Blocks.
