Biography

2000-2001 –Contributing author of Working Group II to the Third Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC); since 2004-now -Lead author of the Drafting Committee for the Periodic report on the state of acid deposition in East Asia (region EANET); since 2001 - Member of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) of the International Programme on monitoring of acid deposition in East Asia (EANET); for 2005-2007 and 2012-2013 –the Chairman of the SAC for EANET. 2009-2014 – country member of the WMO/EMEP Task Force on Measurements and Modelling, of Co-operative Programme for Monitoring and Evaluation of the Long-range Transmission of Air Pollutants in Europe (EMEP); 2012-2014 - Russian expert in the EMEP Steering Body. Since 2015 - member of the editorial board of the journal "Problems of environmental monitoring and modeling of ecosystems." For 2010-2018 - member of the International Commission on Atmospheric Chemistry and Global Pollution (iCACGP) of the International Association of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences (IAMAS).

Research Interest

regional and global transport of air pollutants; climatology; atmospheric chemistry; evaluation of anthropogenic emissions into the atmosphere; geoengineering for climate.
