Andrey Tikhonov

Biography

Prior to his current role Andrey held a number of senior management positions at Kaspersky Lab. In March 2009 he was appointed Chief Information Officer after five years as the company’s Technical Director. Before that, he was head of the Novell development department from 2002 following a successful period as a project manager. Andrey has been working in the IT industry since 1989, when he started his career in a research institute of Russian Ministry of Defense, rising to the rank of lieutenant-colonel. Andrey graduated with distinction from a military academy in Kiev.

Research Interest

Andrey was appointed Kaspersky Lab’s Chief Operating Officer in January 2012. In his position he is responsible for global administrative functions – finance, HR, IT, and work processes.
