Biography
After graduating from the Faculty of , University of Ljubljana, he completed an internship and was later employed at the Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for the Auditing of Ownership Transformation of Companies, where he took over the ownership transformation projects. In 1999 he started working for the Capital Fund (Kapitalska družba Ltd), where he was in charge of the IT department and continued by taking over the role of the Director of the IT and Analysis Department, as well as the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board. His role was to manage projects for establishing IT and analysis structures. Furthermore, he was involved in drafting the First Pension Fund, and was a member of the Ministry of Finance group responsible for implementing and providing the legal basis for the First Pension Fund Acts. In the period of 2003–2005, he was the Chairman of the Management Board for the Capital Fund Company. He participated in projects, where Capital Fund acted as transitional manager or a financial intermediary similar to a bank, and manager of mutual pension funds. In 2003 and later on between 2003 and 2005, he was a Board Member in the Hit d.d. company, responsible for finance, controlling, procurement, and management of group companies. He was in charge of two projects: the merger of two hotels and the negotiations with a foreign strategic partner project. In June 2006 he was employed in Probanka Asset Management, first as a management consultant and later as a Board Member. Since 2008 he has been President of the Slovenian Directors Association (SDA). As a Supervisory Board Member, he was involved in the supervisory boards of companies that underwent transformations in their personnel, status, finances or business. In December 2008 he was re-elected Chairman of the Capital Fund Board, which he remained until the establishment of the insurance company. In September 2011 he was granted the permission to act as the Chairman of the Board at Modra Zavarovalnica, a public sector pensions company. He was appointed a member to Krka's Supervisory Board in July 2017.
