Biography

"Steve Hodgson has been the sales director for overseas markets since June 2010. He is responsible for strengthening RUSAL's position in strategically important markets, developing and strengthening long-term relationships with key aluminum consumers. In 2007-2010, Steve Hodgson was the CEO and president of the bauxite-alumina division of Rio Tinto Alcan, as well as the president of the Australian Aluminum Council. From 2006 to 2007, he headed the diamond division of Rio Tinto. In the period from 2004 to 2006, Steve Hodgson was the director of the Alumina Division of RUSAL, and in 2004-2006 was the RUSAL Sales Director. From 1997 to 2002, Steve Hodgson worked for Comalco (later renamed Rio Tinto), where he led international sales and marketing. He began his career at Comalco in New Zealand, where he worked his way from a process engineer to the head of the metalworking division, and later headed the steel products division at Anglesey Aluminum Metal Ltd. in North Wales. Steve Hodgson graduated with honors from the Auckland University of Engineering and Technology (New Zealand)."
