Biography
Mr. Hofer is a corporate and intellectual property lawyer who currently serves as President and Managing Partner for Biotech Business and Law Advisors, PC, a Massachusetts law firm specializing in small and start-up biotech companies; and as General Counsel for PsychoGenics Inc. He has previously been a partner at Brown Rudnick where he started and chaired the IP group, General Counsel for Genzyme Corporation, Chief Patent Counsel for Integrated Genetics and patent counsel for Johnson&Johnson. In addition to his JD, he has received a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and a Master’s Degree in BioMedical Engineering. Mr. Hofer is a member of the NY, NJ and MA bars as well as a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
