Biography
On April 1, 2011 Valery Velichko was appointed director of the Ural branch of MegaFon. Valery Velichko joined ZAO Uralsky GM (MegaFon-Ural) in August 2006 as director of security. Under his management, a year later the security department of the Ural Branch became the best in the company in the whole of Russia. In January 2010, Valery Velichko was appointed first deputy director of the Ural branch of MegaFon. Valery Velichko started his activity, working on issues of economic security in large Russian enterprises. From November 1996 to 1998 he worked as deputy director of CJSC "Business Center". From 1999 to 2002 he was engaged in legal support of the activities of the Center for Peace and Security of the Republic of Moldova "Irmas". Prior to joining MegaFon Valery Leonidovich managed the business in the position of first deputy general director of OOO Tula Regional Gas Sales Company, one of the subsidiaries of the oil and gas industry. Since January 2006 he worked in the Directorate of Security of OJSC VimpelCom (Moscow). Valery Leonidovich Velichko was born on August 30, 1970 in Grozny, the Chechen Republic. In 1991 he graduated from the Alma-Ata Higher Border College of the KGB of the USSR. In the period from 1987 to 1996 he served on the operational posts of the border troops, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. In 2010 he graduated from the Urals Academy of Public Administration. He was awarded the state award - the medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland II degree (1996).
