Biography
In September 2002, Yury Zaimo was appointed to the position of Director of Internal Audit of MegaFon. Yuri Zheimo began his career at the State Tax Inspectorate of St. Petersburg, then he worked in an audit company. From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Zheimo worked as the head of the internal control and audit group of OJSC Telecominvest, one of the main shareholders of MegaFon. Under the leadership of Yuri Zeimo, internal audit in the company is built on the basis of international standards and, in a certain sense, has become one of the competitive advantages of MegaFon. A systematic approach to business valuation made it possible to create proposals and recommendations for increasing efficiency throughout the company. Yury Zheimo was born on April 21, 1970 in Vorkuta. In 1995 he graduated from the St. Petersburg Trade and Economic Institute with a degree in Economics and Management of Trade Enterprises. In 2010 he received an MBA from Carlson School of Management (University of Minnesota, USA) and WU Executive Academy (University of Economics and Business Administration, Austria). Speaks English and German.
