Biography
He graduated from the Physics and Technology Department of the Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology in 1981. In 1999-2003 he was Director General of the Concern Scientific Center In 2005-2012 he headed the business direction "Microelectronic solutions" in JSC "Sitronics". Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (1997), Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2008) in the Department of Nanotechnology and Information Technology, Honorary Doctor of the Academic University of RAS (2015), Full Member of the Russian Academy of Engineering Sciences. A.M. Prokhorov. Author and co-author of more than 300 scientific works in domestic and foreign peer-reviewed publications, four scientific monographs and more than 40 author's certificates and patents. Head of the Interdepartmental Council of Chief Designers for the Electronic Component Base of the Russian Federation, was a member of the Council of the President of the Russian Federation for Science and Education, a member of the Advisory Council of the Skolkovo Innovation Center, the Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences "The Physical and Chemical Foundations of Semiconductor Materials Science", co-chairman of the Expert Council on innovative activity and introduction of high technologies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a member of 2 expert councils for awarding a prize and the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology, is a member of the Council of Leaders of the EMEA Leadership Council, the Global Alliance of Semiconductor Producers (GSA). He leads the basic department of micro and nanoelectronics at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and the basic sub-micron VLSI technology department at the National Research University MIET, supervises the training of highly qualified specialists in the relevant and promising areas of nano- and microelectronics. Editor-in-Chief of the journal "Electronic Engineering." Microelectronics, a member of the editorial board of the journals Microelectronics, Electronics: Science, Technology, Business, Nano- and Microsystem Technology. He was awarded the Order of Honor (1999), the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the IV degree (2008), the Order of Friendship (2014), the State Prize of the Russian Federation (2014), two RF Government Prizes in Science and Technology (1999, 2009), the Medal UNESCO "For Contribution to the Development of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology" (2016).
