Biography
CEO Expertise More that 20 years in banking sector. Professional background Alexander Afanasiev has been holding the office as the CEO since 2012. In 2005 Mr. Afanasiev was appointed Chairman of the MICEX FX Market's Council. He also co-chairs the National Securities Market Association. From September 1998, he worked as a Deputy CEO for Bank WestLB Vostok (CJSC), a subsidiary company of the German banking group WestLB AG. Alexander Afanasiev has been working in the Russian banking sector since 1991. In the Bank of Russia he participated in creation of the Russian Project Finance Bank, and then served as its Managing Director. In 1996 Alexander Afanasiev was appointed a member of the Executive Board of Joint Stock Bank "Imperial". Educational background Moscow Financial Institute, a degree in economics.
