Biography
Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation (2007) Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (1980), professor (1994), Leading Researcher of the Institute of Numerical Mathematics of the Russian Academy of Sciences IN AND. Agoshkov is a well-known expert in the field of computational mathematics, the theory of boundary value problems for kinetic equations, conjugate equations and their applications in nonlinear, inverse and optimization problems. His work on the theory of Poincaré-Steklov operators and their applications for the design and optimization of division algorithms of the region was awarded to the Department of Mathematics of the USSR Academy of Sciences for the best scientific work of 1989. Member of the main editorial board of "EOLSS" and editorial boards of two international scientific journals, for a number of years was a member of the Committee "Applications of Mathematics of the European Mathematical Society." Author of 170 printed works, 8 monographs, 3 of which have been translated into foreign languages. VI Agoshkov successfully combines scientific work with the pedagogical: in NSU (1972-1980) and then at MIPT (1980 - present). Among his students are 8 candidates and doctors of science.
