Biography
He graduated from secondary school No. 32 in Tbilisi, Georgia (1974). He graduated with honors from the Faculty of General and Applied Physics of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with a degree in engineering physics (1980). Candidate of Physics and Mathematics (1985), thesis: "Mathematical modeling of antiviral T-cell immune response" (supervisor G.I. Marchuk). Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (1995), thesis topic: "Mathematical modeling of viral and bacterial infections." Academic rank - senior research fellow (1992). Since 2003, he is Russia's representative in the IFAC Committee on Biomedical Problems. He has the status of an honorary researcher at the Mathematics Divisions of Manchester University, the University College of Chester, the Department of Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases of the Imperial College of the University of London. Since the end of MIPT works at the Institute of Computational Mathematics. Since 2004, he is the head of the special course "Computational technologies and modeling of biological systems" for students of the Department of Computational Technologies and Modeling of the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology.
