Biography
Sphere of scientific interests: theory and practice of electronic text; Russian language on the Internet; neologic processes in modern Russian, linguistic semantics; phonetics of the modern Russian language. In 1981 she graduated with honors from the Russian department of the philological faculty of Moscow State University. In 1987, she defended her Ph.D. thesis on the theme "Phonetic characteristics of modern Moscow vernacular" (supervisor - Ph.D. N. Pirogov), and in 2006 - doctoral thesis "Linguistic-semantic analysis of electronic hypertext (on the material of the Russian-language Internet)" . OV Dedova lectures and conducts practical exercises on phonetics and lexicology of the modern Russian language, directs the Special Seminar "The Russian Language in Electronic Communication", reads special courses, under her supervision graduate students and graduate students.
