Biography
Alexander Ivanovich Matasov was born on April 12, 1953 in Moscow. 1975 - graduated with honors from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University. Qualification: mechanic. 1975 - 1979 - worked as an engineer in the aviation industry. 1979 - graduated from the correspondence postgraduate course of the Department of Applied Mechanics of the Moscow State University. 1979 - 1993 - worked at the Institute of Mechanics of Moscow State University in the laboratory of navigation and management. 1982 - Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (supervisor Professor NA Parusnikov). 1993 - Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. Since 1993 - leading researcher of the laboratory of management and navigation of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University. 1998 - 2003- Professor of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Physics of the Moscow Aviation Institute (part-time). 1999 - 2003 - Senior Researcher of the Space Research Institute (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences (part-time). 2000 - Professor. 2001 - Soros Professor. He is a member of the Moscow Mathematical Society, the American Mathematical Society, the IEEE Control Systems Society, the Academy of Non-linear Sciences, the Academy of Navigation and Motion Control.
