Biography
Elena Shestopal was born on January 14, 1949. In 1971 she graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov, in 1976 - graduate school of the same faculty. Degree of Doctor of Philosophy received in 1989 at the Academy of Social Sciences under the CPSU Central Committee. The title of professor was received in 1991. The professional path of EB Shestopal includes work in both research and educational institutions. After graduation, she worked in the sociological laboratory. After graduation from the post-graduate course - at the Institute of Sociology of the USSR Academy of Sciences. Then she taught for 12 years in the ION at the CPSU Central Committee. In 1991, she created the first in the country department of applied political science at the Foundation for Social and Political Studies. From 1992 to 2000, she taught at the sociology faculty of Moscow State University. In 2000, she founded the Department of Political Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy of Moscow State University. Since 2008 to the present time he heads the Chair of Sociology and Psychology of Politics at the Faculty of Political Science of Moscow State University.
