Member of the specialized doctoral councils of the IVM RAS, VVI. N.Ye. Zhukovsky and NIVC of Moscow State University. The head of a number of projects of the RFBR, the Department of Mathematical Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the program "Integration" and several international projects, including the joint German-Russian laboratory GERRUS-LAB . He lectured at a number of foreign universities (University of Saarland, Germany (professor of the DAAD Foundation, 1999-2000, co-director of the Volkswagen-Stiftung project, 1996-1998), University of Pisa, Italy (1997, 1999), University of Uppsala, Sweden (2002 (2004), University of Connecticut, USA (2003), University of Tor Vergata, La Sapienza, Rome, Italy (2004, 2006), University of Cagliari, Italy (2006) and etc.). He participated in works related to the solution of industrial problems and scientific consulting of companies (Cray Research, Baker Hughes, ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company, Morgan Stanley). He was awarded the Prize of the Mathematics Department of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR for the series of works "The Teplice Matrixes and Their Applications" (1990), the grant of the Foundation for Assistance to Russian Science (2001-2002). After graduation from the postgraduate course, EE Tyrtyshnikov worked at the Faculty of Computer Science at Moscow State University (1980-1987) as an assistant to the Department of Computational Mathematics (since 1982 - mathematical physics). Since 1987, the main place of work - the Institute of Computer Science of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Senior Researcher (1987-1990), Leading Researcher (since 1990), Deputy Director (2000-2010), Director (since 2010). Professor and Deputy Head of the Department of Computational Technologies and Modeling at the Faculty of the Moscow Medical University (since 2004). He reads the main course "Linear Algebra and Geometry". Since 1987 he also teaches at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) at the Department of Mathematical Modeling of Physical Processes at the Faculty of Physics and Energy Problems (since 1994 as a professor). electrodynamics, computational methods, fast algorithms, parallel computations.
