Biography
Sven Ombudstvedt was elected as chairman of the board of directors in May 2011. Ombudstvedt has served as president and CEO of Norske Skogindustrier ASA since January 1, 2010. He joined the company fr om SAS, wh ere he was senior vice president (SVP) SCD (2008 - 2009). Prior to that, he served as SFO and head of strategy at Yara International ASA (2006-2008). Earlier in his career, he spent several years with Norsk Hydro ASA, and held such positions as SVP upstream operations (2003 - 2006), SVP corporate strategy (2002 - 2003) and SVP commercial policy and industrial restructuring at Hydro Agri, among others.
