Biography
Professor Nikolay Suslov graduated from the Moscow Bauman Technical Institute as its top ranking student and went on to complete his doctorate on the use of plasma engines on spacecraft. Nikolay continued his research in thermal and molecular physics at the Moscow Institute of Human Morphology, the Academy of Science and several leading Moscow hospitals. He gained his professorship in recognition for his work on the interaction between plasma energy sources and live biological tissues. During the 1990s, this research led to the development of the technology used in plasma surgery and to a series of patented inventions that are now used in the PlasmaJet system. He moved to Gothenburg, Sweden in 1998 and in 2000 co-founded Plasma Surgical. Professor Nikolay Suslov is based in Atlanta and continues the development of plasma technology in his capacity as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.
