Biography
He is Director of the Federal State Institution ―Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology‖ of the Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development of the Russian Federation, Head of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, Perinatology and Reproductology of the Faculty of Postgraduate Professional Education of Physicians of the 1st Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov. For over 20 years Gennady Tikhonovich Sukhikh has been the Head of the Laboratory of Clinical Immunology of the Center. Scientific interests: a wide range of the priority trends of the modern reproductive medicine and molecular biology. Fundamental research in the field of immunology of reproduction, molecular genetics at various pathologic conditions in gynecology, obstetrics, and perinatology; study of possibilities of usage of various types of autologious and allogenic stem and progenitor cells for treatment of various diseases. He is the author of more than 560 scientific papers and 12 monographs, 15 inventor‘s certificates.
