Vladimir Trofimovich Ivashkin

Biography

Vladimir Trofimovich Ivashkin has been heading the clinic of internal disease propedeutics, gastroenterology and hepatology at the Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy since 1995. He created the national school of gastroenterologists and hepatologists and trained over a hundred doctors and Masters of medical science. He founded the Russian magazine of gastroenterology, hepatology, coloproctology and the magazine Clinical prospects of gastroenterology and hepatology. He is the author of numerous monographs, scientific works, and articles on medical issues. Merited worker of science of the Russian Federation, laureate of the Russian government prize in the sphere of science and technology. He created the Russian Gastroenterology Association and the Russian Society for the Study of the Liver.
