Biography
Michael Kravchenko is a Senior Research Fellow at Research Center of Neurology, Russian Federation. Michael is a certified neurologist and clinical epidemiologist. He graduated from the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University in 2002 and undertook advanced training in neurology and clinical epidemiology in Research Center of Neurology. Since 2005 M.Kravchenko works in the Laboratory of Epidemiology and Prevention of Neurological Diseases. In 2004-2007 he performed his PhD study on “Features of arterial hypertension in residual period of stroke”. Michael takes part in laboratory projects in the field of epidemiology and prevention of the cerebrovascular diseases as study designer, computer database programmer, statistician. Also he performs ultrasound sonography of carotid and vertebral arteries with various functional tests. Research Projects: Michael took part in following projects: “The effects of antihypertensive treatment on cerebral hemodynamics” (2004-2008), “Endothelial dysfunction in patients with arterial hypertension and other cerebrovascular risk factors” (2009-2013). Since 2010 he is a PI in multicenter population based prospective study of the cerebrovascular risk factors in middle age people.
