Biography
Elena has worked in the environmental and sustainability industry for many years, gaining extensive project management experience. Before joining Ramboll Environ, Elena was head of the Environmental Unit for the FIFA World Cup organising committee in Russia, senior environmental scientist and water and environment team leader at Mott MacDonald Russia. She has participated in a large number of notable projects, such as co-authoring the Strategic Environmental Assessment Guidelines for WWF Russia and acting as country manager in The Global Citizen’s Initiative, Climate Scorecard. Elena holds a PhD in Geo-Environmental Sciences and a BSc in Environmental Engineering from the University of Land Management and Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology, Moscow. She is a certified LEED Green Associate and underwent training courses on environmental management and environmental impact assessment and sustainable development at Lund University, Sweden and the Central European University in Poland.
