Alexander Valentinovich Novak

Biography

Alexander Novak graduated from the Norilsk Industrial Institute in 1993, majoring in Economics and Management in Metallurgic Engineering, and Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2009, majoring in Management. From 1988 to 2000, he worked for Zavenyagin Norilsk Mining-and-Metallurgical Integrated Works (later, Norilsk Mining-and-Metallurgical Integrated Works), his career progressing from a first-category hydrometallurgical equipment operator to the Deputy Director for Personnel and Department Head of Norilsk Mining Company’s Polar Division. From 2000 to 2002, he was the Deputy Head for Financial and Economic Affairs of the Norilsk Municipality and the First Deputy Head of the Norilsk Municipality. From 2002 to 2008, he worked in the Krasnoyarsk Territory Administration: Deputy Governor and Head of the Chief Financial Directorate, First Deputy Governor, and Deputy Governor and Chairman of the Government.
