Yan Lavrovsky

Biography

Yan Lavrovsky came from Avineuro Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where as a CEO and Director of Clinical Development Yan led projects in Alzheimer’s disease and schizophrenia taking two molecules into late stages of clinical development. Previously, Yan held executive positions in ChemDiv, Inc. and Serono, Geneva, Switzerland and Boston, Massachusetts where he led several programs in CNS, oncology and autoimmune diseases through late stages of clinical development. Yan is a trained physician with a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and completed post-doctoral training at the Rockefeller University, New York, NY. Before joining Serono in 2001 Yan was a faculty member at the University of Texas, Health Science Center. During his tenure at the University of Texas, Yan was a principal investigator on NIH-funded projects. Yan is the author of more than 50 original reviews, original research articles, patents, and various book chapters.
