Biography
Alexei Chekunkov, CEO of the Far East Development Fund Mr.Chekunkov was born on October 3rd, 1980 in Minsk. In 2001 he graduated in International Economics from MGIMO University. Alexei has a track record in investments of over 15 years. He held senior positions at the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), A-1 (Alfa Group), Delta Private Equity (US-Russia Investment Fund), ALROSA Investment group. In 2011-2013 Alexei served as a Director, Member of the Management Board and Investment Committee at RDIF where he was responsible for investments in healthcare, energy and commodities sectors as well as for establishing The Russia-China Investment Fund with $2 billion under management.
