1979 Graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys as a metallurgy engineer. Doctoral Candidate in Technical Science. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 1989–1992 Head of the trade and investment group, Alfa-Eco. 1992 Chairman of the Board of Directors of Impexbank from the time of its incorporation. 1992–2000 CJSC Mosexpo 1999–2005 Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mosexpo-Metal LLC. 2001–2002 Chairman of the Board of Directors of Metalloinvest Management-Holding Company. 2002–2004 CEO of Media-Socium (non-profit partnership). 2004–2005 Head of Renaissance Capital Investment Group, member of the Presidential Council of the Russian Federation under President Boris Yeltsin, member of the Board of Directors of Novolipetsk Steel, member of the Executive Board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
