Biography

Mr. Pavel Mikhaylovich Teplukhin, Ph.D., served as the Chief Country Officer of Deutsche Bank AG from October 1, 2012 to August 1, 2016. Mr. Teplukhin served as Chief Country Officer for Russia at Deutsche Bank OOO and as its Head Executive Director from October 1, 2012 to August 1, 2016. He served as the Chief Executive Officer Deutsche Bank Group in Russia until August 1, 2016. He served as the Chief Country Officer of The Forex Club Group for Russia since October 1, 2012, where he was a Consultant since March 2013. He served as the President and Chairman of Sberbank Asset Management Joint-Stock Company. From 1990 to 1991, Mr. Teplukhin served as an Executive Director of one of Russia's first private joint stock consulting companies, Academia Inc and participated in many turnkey privatization projects. He served as Managing Director of CJSC "Sberbank CIB" since 1991. Since 1993, he worked in various official advisory capacities for the Economics and Finance ministries, notably as Economic Advisor to the Governmental Task Force on Economic Reform under Professor Jeffrey Sachs and as Expert Economist at the Russian-European Center of Economic Policy. Mr. Teplukhin served as the Chairman of The Forex Club Group from July 2012 to March 2013 and served as its Director. Since May 2007, he serves on the Board of Directors of World Trade Center Moscow. He serves as a Member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank Ltd., Russia. He served as a Member of the Supervisory Board at VTB Bank since March 2010 and Director of GeoProMining Ltd. He served as a Member of The Supervisory Board at JSC VTB Bank since March 2010. He served as a Director of Open Joint-Stock Company of Energy and Electrification Samaraenergo since 2002. He served as a Director of Public Joint Stock Company Aeroflot - Russian Airlines., Public Joint Stock Company T Plus, Volga Territorial Generation Company and Teplukhin Pavel Mikhailovich. He served as a Director of Joint Stock Company World Trade Center Moscow since May 2007. Mr. Teplukhin served as a Director of Samaraenergo JSC since 2002, Open Joint Stock Company Mosenergo since May 30, 2002, OAO Nutrinvestholding since October 2, 2009 and Open Investments until October 2006. He served as a Director of Joint Stock Company Aeroflot - Russian Airlines and Volga Territorial Generation Company. Since 1993, he worked in various official advisory capacities for the Economics and Finance ministries, notably as Economic Advisor to the Governmental Task Force on Economic Reform under Professor Jeffrey Sachs and as Expert Economist at the Russian-European Center of Economic Policy. Between 1991 and 1993, he was part of Yegor Gaidar's Institute for the Economy in Transition, Russia's leading center of research in theoretical, applied and strategic economics. At the end of the 1980s, Mr. Teplukhin worked with Professor Yasin in the Soviet Academy of Sciences at the Central Institute of Economics and Mathematics. Since 1994, he has been head of the LSE's Moscow office. Mr. Teplukhin is one of the Founders of the 2015 Club, a Member of the National League of Management Companies. In 2007, Mr. Teplukhin was awarded by the National League of Management Companies for a special contribution to the development of Russia's mutual fund market and named among the 20 Rising Stars of Wealth Management by Institutional Investor. In 2006, he was awarded “Silver Archer” national prize as “Person of the year“. In 2005, Mr. Teplukhin was ranked number one and in 2006 the Best financial manager in a rating of Russia's 1000 most professional managers, conducted by the Kommersant newspaper and the National Association of Managers. He is a chevalier of the Tatischev Order for Service to Homeland. He is one of the authors of the Federal Law on mutual investment funds as well as of legislative package on the Pension Reform. Mr. Teplukhin’s career has included close work with the government and economic think tanks. Mr. Teplukhin holds a Ph.D. degree, a Masters of Science degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and has Advanced Degrees in Economics and Statistics from Moscow State University
