Biography
Graduated from the IInd Moscow State Medical Institute in 1983, with the diploma of pediatrician. In 1983-1985 resident and in 1985-1988 – postgraduate student of Pediatric Diseases Department â„–2 of the same Institute. In 1988 Dr. Degtyarev accomplished his Ph.D. thesis in pediatric and allergology and immunology; and in 1999 – his doctoral thesis “Immediate and long-term consequences of perinatal hypoxia in children of different gestational age”. From 1988 to 1992 Dr. Degtyarev worked as Neonatology Course assistant, from 1993 to 2000 – as the associated professor and from 2001 to 2009 – as the professor of Neonatology Department of Postgraduate Education Faculty of the IInd MSMI. In 2003 Dr. Degtyarev was awarded the rank of Professor. Since 2010 Prof. Degtyarev is a the Head of Neonatology and Pediatric Department of the Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology and since 2012 he holds the position of the Deputy Director of the Center. In 1994-2012 prof. Degtyarev served as the Head Neonatologist of Moscow Healthcare Department; since 2012 – as the Head Neonatologist of Central Federal District of Russian Federation; since 2010 – as the Member of the Ministry of Health Pediatric Certification Board.
