Biography

Prof Inna A.Apolikhina is the professor of the department.The Department is a modern gynecologic physiotherapeutic unit with a 30-year experience of work with the diversity of nosological forms. A wide spectrum of physical factors and methods are used, most of which are original. The Department is a platform for the development of basic principles and key tactics of obstetrical-gynecological physiotherapy, where traditional methods were improved and new methods and technologies were developed and introduced, including those protected by numerous patents: pathogenetically substantiated system of differential application of therapeutic physical factors in chronic pelvic inflammatory disease and complications (tubal and uterine infertility, pelvic adhesions, chronic pelvic pain, menstrual dysfunction). Not only early onset of physical therapy was proved but also clinical criteria for its differentiated use after gynecological operations were suggested. The original system of intensive nonpharmacological treatment of gynecological diseases was developed and is actively used in the Department.
