Biography

As chief operating officer, Dave Spencer isresponsible for the development and consistent execution of SAP’s go-to-market and sales strategiesfor all industries and across theentire product portfolio. He is also accountablefor keepinga driving force behind SAP’s increased market share for the company’s fast-growing cloud business.Since joining SAP in 2006, Dave has held severalmanagement and executive leadership sales roles. Most recently, he wasthe managing director for the East region of SAP North America, and before that was its chief operating officer. Previously, Davewasglobal vice presidentof sales for SAP’scloud organization, overseeingthe go-to-marketactivities for theCustomer, Money,and SAP® Business ByDesign®field sales teams; and thevice president of SAPStrategicCustomerProgram(formerly SAP Premier Customer Network) in the northeast,successfully managing and developing top-performing account teams responsible for some of SAP’s largest customers. He has also servedas a global account executive, and beganhis SAP careerwiththe professional services team, generating software sales withnew and existing customers. Before joiningSAP, Dave held several senior sales leadership positions at companiessuch as Ruesch International(acquired by Travelex), Gelco Information Network (acquired by Concur), and Moore Business Forms & Systems.
