Biography
As the managing director of the West region of SAP North America, John McGee is responsible for leading the market unit’s overall strategy, business operations, customer, and partner engagements. He joined SAP from FireEye, where he served as senior vice president for Worldwide Sales and Field Operations, and was responsible for driving the go-to-market strategy via enterprise, inside sales, channel, OEM, and technology partners. Prior to FireEye, John was a senior vice president at Informatica where he transformed its go-to-market into a segmented customer model with a cloud first approach. He has held numerous other high-level sales and executive management roles throughout his career, including president and CEO at Thunderhead, and vice president of Field Operations overseeing the Americas region for Adobe. Executive posts at EMC, and Documentum included similar leadership responsibilities for broad territories. John holds an undergraduate degree in finance from Penn State University in Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Columbia University in New York City, New York.
