Biography
Matt Laukaitis is the managing director of SAP’s Retail industry practice in North America, and is responsible for the division’s strategy, partner ecosystem, and revenue performance throughout the region. He places a high priority on customer relationships, and overall customer satisfaction across all aspects of the business. Since joining SAP in 2004, Matt has been a leader within SAP’s U.S. retail organization and a hands-on strategic partner for customers, helping them solve their most critical retail business challenges. Most recently, he applied his sales management expertise and leadership capabilities as chief operating officer, overseeing the implementation of retail sales strategies, and go-to-market operations in the United States. Prior, as vice president of sales, Matt developed and coached a team of professionals to become trusted advisors for many leading and noteworthy retailers in North America. He has also led SAP’s corporate citizenship program in the U.S. Pacific Northwest, connecting SAP volunteers with local community organizations, placing an emphasis on K-12 education and family support organizations. Prior to SAP, Matt worked at IONA Technologies, Netfish (acquired by IONA Technologies), RR Donnelley, and Apple, where he served in sales and sales leadership positions. He began his career as a manufacturing application engineer with Ballagh & Thrall, Inc. Matt holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, in Phoenix, Arizona.
