Biography
As the managing director of the Midwest for SAP North America, Rocky Subramanian is responsible for the region’s profitability, strategic direction, and all client-related activities in all industries across SAP’s product portfolio. He leads a team that champions customer success by ensuring the full power of SAP technology, Services and partner ecosystem are leveraged to accelerate their digital transformation. He joined SAP in 2005 and moved through the Midwest organization in a series of technical, sales-focused and leadership roles. Most recently, he served as regional vice president responsible for all new business development as well as growing SAP’s relationship with existing consumer products, retail, wholesale, and life sciences customers. Prior to that, Rocky held the position of vice president of field sales wherein he drove the Midwest business leading a team that helped customers transition from legacy systems to SAP’s innovative portfolio, and become industry leaders. He built his reputation as a trusted expert advisor as a senior account executive, and technology principal. Prior to SAP, Rocky worked at PeopleSoft/Oracle in several roles including delivering global implementation services, technology pre-sales, and enterprise architecture advisor. He was also a project lead at Renaissance Consulting delivering turn-key enterprise software solutions, and began his career as a software developer at NCS/Pearson. Rocky holds a bachelor’s degree in physics and computer science from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. Passionate about entrepreneurship, he advises Chicago-area start-ups as a volunteer mentor, and supports organizations with missions focused on education accessibility and eradicating hunger.
