Biography

Education and Career 1967 - graduated from the Saratov Polytechnic Institute, majoring in Automation and Telemechanics. 1971 - graduated from the Saratov State University, majoring in "Computational Mathematics". From the moment of graduation to the call-up to the Soviet Army he worked as an engineer at the Electronic Laboratory and as an assistant to the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Saratov Polytechnic Institute. 1971-1973 - served in the Soviet Army. 1973-1982 - worked in the laboratory of converter technology in the positions of engineer and senior researcher. 1981 - defended his thesis "Investigation of autonomous inverters with internal compensation system of reactive power for feeding group movement load" in the Gorky Polytechnic Institute. 1982-1989 - worked at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electrical Equipment in the position of Associate Professor. 1989-1993 - worked in the Saratov branch of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (RAS) as a senior research fellow. Since 1993 he worked at the department of system engineering in the post of associate professor, 2003 - at the Saratov State Technical University, defended his doctoral thesis "Aggregate conversion complexes for supplying the shop motive load at frequencies other than the general industrial one".
