Academician of the Academy of Quality Problems of the Russian Federation (since 1997). Chairman of the Volga branch of the Association of Metallurgists of Russia. Member of the Board of the Association of Implantologists of Russia. 1968 - graduated from the Physics Department of the Leningrad State University and was sent to Saratov by distribution. 1963-1992 - worked at SNNP "Contact", went from a rank-and-file engineer to the chief technologist and deputy head of the enterprise for science. Since 1980 he has been working in our university on a part-time basis, and since 1992 - constantly. 1980 - defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of technical sciences. 1989 - defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences. Until 1992 , he was deputy director for science at the Federal State Unitary Enterprise GNPP "Contact". 1992 - appointed head of the department "Material Science and Highly Effective Processing Processes", transformed in 2010 into the Department of "Physical Materials Science and New Materials Technologies". 1994-2008 - was the chairman of the organizing committee of 9 international conferences ("New technologies in dentistry and implantology" and "Modern problems of implantology"). Since 1995 he is a member of the organizing committee of the annual international conference "Films and Coatings", held in St. Petersburg. From 2010 - 2015 he was the head of the department "Physical Materials Science and Technologies of New Materials". Since 2015 , he has been working as a professor of the department "Physical Materials Science and Biomedical Engineering". He was the scientific supervisor of 10 state budget works on fundamental research areas, 5 innovative projects, including those financed from the budget of the Saratov region. He leads doctoral and post-graduate students, prepares new specialists in his field.
