Biography

1973 - graduated from secondary school No. 19 (Saratov) and in the same year enrolled in the I course of the Physics Faculty of the Saratov State University named after NG. Chernyshevsky. 1978 - graduated with honors from the Saratov State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky. 1978-1986 - worked in industrial enterprises and in industrial research institutes of Saratov as an engineer, senior engineer, leading engineer. 1986-1991 - worked in the Saratov Polytechnic Institute as a research assistant, and then as a senior researcher. 1989 - defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences at the Moscow Institute of Instrument Engineering. 1991- 1994 - held the position of senior researcher of the Saratov branch of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the Russian Academy of Sciences (now - Institute of Problems of Precise Mechanics and Control of the Russian Academy of Sciences). 1994-1997 - was a doctoral candidate in the Department of Optics of the Saratov State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky. 1997 - successfully defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. 1996 - June 2010 - worked as an assistant professor, and then - professor of the department "Instrument-Making" Saratov State Technical University (in combination). 2000-2008 - was the chairman of the organizing committee of the annual international scientific school for young scientists, graduate students and students in optics, laser physics and biophysics (Saratov Fall Meeting) at the Saratov State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky. 2001 - awarded the academic title of professor. Since July 2010 , he headed the department "General Physics", and since 2011 after the unification of the departments of general and applied physics, he heads the department "Physics" of the Saratov State Technical University. Under his leadership, a number of grants from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (including international projects) were successfully implemented. He was one of the key executors in major international projects, carried out under the programs of the American Civilian Research and Development Foundation. Under his leadership, 6 candidates were protected and 1 doctoral thesis prepared for defense. Has experience of teaching in English: courses of lectures on coherent-optical methods of diagnostics and metrology at the international symposium Photonics West, USA, 2001; for graduate students of the University of Tianjing, China (2003, 2004, 2007) and the University of Oulu, Finland (2004, 2006).
